ALDI’s Big BBQ for Barnardos Donation Prizes Terms and Conditions

ALDI’s Big BBQ for Barnardos Donation Prizes (the “Promotion”) is an online promotion offered by ALDI Stores (Ireland) Limited with its registered address at 67/68 Fitzwilliam Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (the “Promoter”)  

This promotion will open at 12.00pm on Thursday 26th of June 2025 and close at 11.59pm on Thursday 30th of July 2025.

Participation in this Promotion constitutes acceptance of these conditions of entry.

For the avoidance of doubt, references to the “Promoter” in these terms and conditions also include (where appropriate and relevant) any agencies or companies that ALDI Stores (Ireland) Limited has engaged to facilitate the Promotion.   

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, participants are required to donate to ALDI’s Big BBQ for Barnardos fundraiser on https://bbqforbarnardos.ie. This can be done on the homepage of the fundraiser or by donating to one of the registered events linked to ALDI’s Big BBQ for Barnardos. There is no limit on the number of times a person can donate.

This is an online-only promotion and participants will need internet access to enter. Participants must donate to the fundraiser to enter. Participants must have the necessary equipment and internet access in order to engage.  

A Participant who complies with the rules and meets the validation criteria will receive one (1) entry per donation.  The donation must be made before the deadline of Thursday 30th of July 2025.

The Promoter takes no responsibility for donations which are delayed, corrupted, misdirected or are not received by the Promoter for any technical or other reason whatsoever.   Proof of submitting a donation is not accepted as proof of receipt by the Promoter.  

After the nominations close on Thursday 30th of July 2025, The winners will be selected and contact about their prize.

THE PRIZE

There are 5 prizes to be won:

1.               €500 ALDI gift card

2.               Ceramic Kamodo Barbecue

3.               2 x Ireland v Japan Autumn Nations Series 2025 rugby tickets

4.               2 x Ireland v Australia Autumn Nations Series 2025 rugby tickets

5.               2 x Ireland v South Africa Autumn Nations Series 2025 rugby tickets

The winners will be required to accept the prize within 48 hours of notification. In the event of non-acceptance during this 48 hours period, the Promoter will redraw and select a new prize winner (the same acceptance period will apply for the new prize winner). In the event that a winner does not accept the prize, they have no entitlements, rights or claims in relation to the prize.

There is no cash alternative and the prizes may not be exchanged or transferred except as set out in these terms and conditions.

The winner is responsible for organising travel and accommodation arrangements to attend a game.

All elements of the prize, are non-changeable, non-refundable, and non-transferable and all elements of the prize must be taken at the same time.  

By accepting the prize, the winner grants the Promoter the right to use and publish his/her name and picture in such media as the Promoter may choose, and at the Promoter’s request, agrees to participate in all reasonable promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, without additional consideration, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material including on social media.  The winner may be asked and must be willing to participate in non-paid publicity accompanying or resulting from this Promotion.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entrants taking part in this Promotion and they do so at their own risk. The Promoter, its officers, directors, employees and associated agencies and companies make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the content of the Website or the content of any sites linked from the Website and will not be liable for any loss or damage or expense howsoever caused, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential (whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise) which is suffered or sustained in connection with this Promotion, the use of the Website, the content of the Website, the content of the sites linked from the Website and/or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.

The Promoter does not accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of any third parties.  

In the event for any reason the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the prize. This prize is subject to availability and if any element of the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the discretion to replace same with an alternative prize or part of the prize as applicable. No correspondence will be entered into and the Promoter’s decision is final.

If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, or there is any cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, these conditions of entry or invalidate any affected entries.

These terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Ireland.   The Promoter reserves the right to modify the content of these terms and conditions for the sole purpose of ensuring the good execution and proper administration and operation of the Promotion, with no detrimental effect on the entrants.   If any provision of these terms and conditions is judged to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, this shall not affect or impact the continuation in full force and effect of the remainder of the provisions.  

The Promoter respects your right to privacy and will use your personal information only to conduct the Promotion, and for the purpose as described in these Terms & Conditions, and in accordance with any other permissions you have provided to the Promoter. Subject to those other permissions, information collected is used solely to administer the Competition and is not sold, rented, or loaned to any third parties. The Promoter will handle the entrant’s personal information in accordance with its privacy policies and practices, which can be accessed at  Aldi Privacy Policy   or by contacting the privacy officer at  dataprotection@aldi.ie and in accordance with applicable laws.  

By registering for this promotion, you have consented to the collection use and disclosure of your personal information for the purposes stated in the competition policy.  

The Promoter's use of your name if you are a prize winner, is based on the Promoter’s legitimate interests, and your right to object to the inclusion of your name in a list of prize winners will be subject to the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
