RepTrak Survey

Irish shoppers have voted Aldi as the most reputable supermarket in Ireland in 2021 according to the new RepTrak Ireland Report. The annual RepTrak Ireland survey measures the level of trust, respect, admiration and esteem consumers have for Ireland’s largest and most visible companies. Aldi scored consistently well across key criteria including Workplace, Governance and Citizenship.


  • Aldi Ireland are delighted to receive the Business Working Responsibly Mark in 2020. Achieving this independently audited mark recognises and validates our commitment to social, environmental and ethical improvement


  • Emphasising its commitment to sustainable practices, Aldi has signed up to the Origin Green sustainability charter. Aldi have developed a comprehensive plan that sets out health, social, waste and energy targets.

Pakman Awards

The Pakman Awards are Ireland’s Top National Environmental Awards that recognise excellence in recycling and waste management among businesses, organisations, community groups and individuals in Ireland.

In 2020, Aldi won the ‘Overall Pakman Award’ and the ‘Silver Plastic Pledge Award’ for its efforts in reducing its plastic and packaging and its progress for tackling food waste.

Green Awards

The Green Awards are a leading platform for sustainability intelligence, leadership and innovation in best green practice in Ireland.

In 2020, Aldi won ‘The Green Retailer Award’ for our commitment to sustainability initiatives in packaging and waste reduction, carbon reduction, biodiversity and staff training and awareness.
