An Italian classic for the whole family to enjoy.
Irish reduced fat Meatballs
500g Bolognese sauce
500g Spaghetti
1 Large Onion or 2 Small Onions diced
2 Teaspoons of vegetable oil
Basil (for garnishing)
Salt and black pepper
SHOP THE INGREDIENTS
Heat the oil in a casserole dish, add the diced onion and cook for a couple of minutes.
Add the meatballs and cook on a medium heat for ten minutes turning them gently as they cook until all sides of the meatballs are golden.
Add the jar of bolognese sauce and switch the heat down to low and simmer for ten minutes.
Whilst the sauce and meatballs are simmering, bring a large pan of salted water to boiling point & add the spaghetti, boil for around 9 minutes until the spaghetti is cooked.
Drain the spaghetti.
Take the meatballs and some of the sauce out.
Add the spaghetti to the casserole dish and mix through with the remaining sauce.
Place the meatballs and sauce on the top for serving.
Garnish with some basil leaves and a sprinkle of black pepper.
