A new pasta dish to impress.
250g of 25% beef mince
4 cloves chopped garlic
1 red onion
200ml tomato and herb pasta sauce
7 cheesy singles
1 tablespoon of tomato ketchup (tomato purée with a teaspoon of sugar if you don’t have it)
1 teaspoon mixed herbs
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon chilli powder
300g of penne pasta
Fresh or dried parsley for garnish
Fry the beef mince in a little oil with the chopped garlic and chopped onion and some salt and pepper for 5 minutes.
After beef has browned and juices have been released, add the smoked paprika, chilli powder and mixed herbs and half of the jar of pasta sauce (if you’re not making the calzones, you can use it all).
Add 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce and 4 cheesy slices directly into the sauce mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
Cook your penne in salted water and add this with 5 tablespoons of the pasta water.
Pop the pasta into dishes and top with 1 cheesy slice torn up and some fresh or dried parsley.
