Strawberry & Chocolate French Toast Rolls

Chocolatey goodness, encased in crisp, sugary toast and topped with sweet strawberries.

Ingredients
- 6 Medium White Bread Slices
- 100g Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
- 150g Strawberries, finely chopped
- 1 Medium Egg
- 30ml Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 40g Caster Sugar
- 40g Unsalted Butter
Method
- Cut the crusts off the bread and roll out the slices with a rolling pin.
- Spread the bread with the hazelnut chocolate spread.
- Divide the strawberries between the slices, placing them in the middle of each slice.
- Roll-up the bread slices into tubes.
- Whisk the egg, milk and vanilla essence together and pour onto a plate.
- Pour the caster sugar onto another plate.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan.
- In the meantime, roll the tubes in the egg mixture.
- Fry in the pan for 5-8 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and crisp.
- Remove from the pan, roll in the caster sugar and serve immediately.
- Great served with vanilla ice cream.
