Top gluten free tips

Once you’re told you can’t eat gluten, you start to realise how it will change your life. But there’s lots of easy and positive ways to live gluten free. Here’s some of our top tips.

  • Keep the cupboard stocked and have some ready-made meals to hand at home for when you don’t want to cook and check the menus or restaurants before you eat out. There’s nothing worse than rushing around to find a restaurant that has gluten free options.
  • Gluten free can still mean good for you. So, make a list of all the nutritious foods you can eat, like meat, fish, poultry, beans, eggs, vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, rice, corn and soy and be positive.
  • If you want to have a healthy gluten free diet, pack it with whole grains like brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa, speciality gluten free oats - all rich in fibre, antioxidants and minerals such as calcium, magnesium and vitamins B6, E and niacin.
